In today’s fast-moving online world, shoppers often browse multiple times before making a purchase. They explore, compare, and return, and without a way to save the products they love, it’s easy for them to forget what caught their eye.
That’s where Swym Wishlist Plus comes in.
It helps your customers build personalized wishlists they can access anytime, on any device, making it simple to pick up where they left off and complete their purchase.
Setting up the Wishlist Plus app on your Shopify Store is easy and requires no coding. Follow our quick guide to get started.

Step 1: Install the App
- Begin by installing the Wishlist Plus app from the Shopify App Store. You can either search for ‘Swym Wishlist Plus’ by Swym Corporation or click here for direct access.
- If not logged in already, choose your Shopify account and the online store where you want to install the Wishlist App.
- You will be redirected to your Shopify Admin. Here, confirm the installation by clicking the “Install” button.
- You will land on the Swym Wishlist Plus homepage.
- Click “Get started” to begin.
Step 2: Pick Store Color, Category, and Theme
Help us personalize your wishlist experience:

Select your Brand Colors: Please choose the colors that best match your brand so we can set up a wishlist that fits right into your store.

Select your Store Category: Choose the category that best reflects your brand.

Select the Shopify theme you’d like to use, and click on “Submit”.

We’ll render your setup using these settings. (We won’t touch your live store until you’re ready!)
Step 3: Set Up Wishlist Plus on Your Store
What’s Pre-configured During Onboarding Based on your store’s theme and the preferences you selected earlier, Wishlist Plus will auto-configure a recommended setup for your store with the option to customize a set of features designed to help shoppers save and revisit their favorite products.

Options to help shoppers save their favorites, such as
- A wishlist button on product pages,
- A wishlist button on collections pages,
- Save For Later pop-up that appears on removing items from cart,
- Auto-saving items they’ve viewed multiple times.

Ways to access and share wishlists, including
- A central space to view and manage your wishlist (it could be a page, a modal, or a drawer)
- A way to launch the wishlist via header, floating icon, or store’s navigation menu
- Wishlist sharing functionality.

Tools to help shoppers rediscover their favorites: Personalized re-engagement through automated marketing triggers.

Pre-configured Marketing Trigger

Wishlist Reminder (Available from Wishlist Plus Starter Plan): Re-engages shoppers 24 hours after wishlisting if no purchase is made.

Price Drop Alert (Available from Wishlist Plus Starter Plan): Notifies shoppers when a wishlisted item’s price drops by 10% or more.
- Back in Stock Alert (Available from Wishlist Plus Starter Plan): Alerts shoppers when an out-of-stock wishlisted item becomes available.
Marketing Triggers
- Triggers are sent using Swym’s built-in email service provider, but they are fully customizable! You can:
Update the default integration: Switch from Swym Sender to Klaviyo or any other supported Swym integration for your email service provider.

Customize time delays and price thresholds: Adjust the default time delay for reminders or the price drop percentage as desired.

Step 4: Customize your Wishlist Experience
The Customize section allows you to tailor your wishlist settings to fit your store’s specific needs and enhance your customers’ shopping experience. By clicking the “Customize” button next to each feature, you can modify how they appear and function on your site.
Navigate through the following customization sections:
Changes are easy to implement, and you can always preview them in the Theme Editor before making them live.
🎨 Customize: Basics

Set the foundational preferences for your wishlist’s look and feel, such as:

Colors: Choose the primary and secondary color for your wishlist setup. By default, we use your store’s brand colors when available. If store access isn’t granted, system defaults will be applied instead.
- Icon Style: Select from a variety of wishlist icons like a heart, star or bookmark to best match your store’s theme.

Control how the wishlist button appears on your product detail pages:

Button Position: Choose where to place the Wishlist button:

Near the Cart Button: Position the button above, below, to the left, or to the right of the “Add to Cart” button.

On the Product Image: Display the button in one of the four corners—top left, top right, bottom left, or bottom right.

🗂 Customize: Collections Page

Set up how wishlist buttons appear on your collection (category) pages where products are listed in a grid or gallery view.

✅ Allow Wishlist from Collections: Enable this option to let shoppers add products to their wishlist directly from the collections page, without needing to visit the product detail page.

Wishlist Icon Position: Choose where the wishlist button appears on each product thumbnail:
- Top Left
- Top Right

📄 Customize: Wishlist Page

This is where your customers interact with their wishlisted items. Control how your Wishlist page looks and how shoppers access it throughout your store.

Appearance: Customize the look and layout of the Wishlist.

Type: Choose the layout in which the wishlist will be displayed:
- Drawer: A slide-in panel from the side of the screen, allowing users to access their wishlist without leaving the current page.
- Separate Page: Opens on a new, dedicated page.

Pop-up Modal: Appears as a popup over the current page.

Page Title: Set a custom title that appears at the top of the wishlist (e.g., My Wishlist)

Type: Choose the layout in which the wishlist will be displayed:

Launch From: Decide how customers can access their wishlist:

Header: Shows a wishlist icon in your store’s header.

Floating Button: Adds a floating wishlist access button on the screen.
- Select the Display Type: Icon & Text, Only Text, or Only Icon.
- Choose the Button Position: Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, or Bottom Right.

✅ Enable Show Count to show the number of wishlist items.

Navigation Menu: Allows you to manually add a wishlist link to your menu (instructions available via the Help article).

🛒 Customize: Cart

Enable this setting to show a pop-up when shoppers remove items from their cart, prompting them to save those products for later — a simple way to reduce drop-offs and recover potential sales.

Pop-up Title: Customize the heading shown at the top of the pop-up (e.g., Do you want to save this for later?).

Primary Button Text: Set the label for the main action (e.g., Save for Later).

Permission: Control whether the shopper sees the prompt repeatedly:

Step 5: Preview and Save Your Set Up
Before your wishlist features go live, it’s important to preview how they’ll appear on your storefront. This lets you confirm everything looks and functions correctly — without affecting your live store.
To see how your setup looks in your store, click “Preview on Theme Editor” to open your store’s Shopify Theme Editor in a new tab.

You’re viewing a simulation — wishlist features (like buttons, pages, and icons) will appear on your theme as a draft, not live.

Any changes you see or make will not be visible to customers yet.

1.Click “Begin Tour” on the bottom banner inside the Theme Editor.
2.Follow coachmarks on each page. They’ll guide you through each Wishlist Plus feature in context.
3.Test freely. Interact with buttons, wishlist items, and pages in a safe preview environment.
All actions taken during this tour remain in preview mode and do not impact your live store.
Save Your Setup
Once you’re satisfied with the preview:
- Click “Save” in the Theme Editor.
This saves the setup as a draft — it’s not live yet, but it’s a required step to proceed.
- After saving, return to your Wishlist Plus onboarding by:
- Clicking Return To Wishlist Plus in the banner, or
- Navigating back to the previous tab where your onboarding steps were in progress.

If you’re not satisfied with the preview, you can still save and then revisit the dashboard to make changes as needed.
Step 6: See Setup Overview

You’re almost there! This step gives you a complete overview of the Wishlist Plus features currently set up in your store. It’s a quick summary to help you confirm everything is in place before going live. Take a moment to review and make sure it includes everything you need.
- If everything looks good:
Click “Continue to Plan Selection” to choose the right Wishlist Plus plan and go live.

Step 7: Select Subscription Plan and Go Live
It’s time to activate Wishlist Plus for your shoppers! Select a pricing plan that fits your store’s needs, whether you’re just getting started or need advanced features.

Selecting a Plan
- Review the features available under each plan and click “Select Plan” for the one that best fits your needs.
- Then click “Continue” to confirm your selection and proceed to payment if applicable.
The Starter and Pro plans include a 14-day free trial, beginning from the day you install the app. Use this time to explore the full set of features risk-free. Your billing will only begin after the trial period ends.
What Happens Next?
Once your plan is selected, Wishlist Plus is live for your shoppers!
You’ll be automatically redirected to your Wishlist Plus homepage to continue managing your setup and tracking performance.
